Indoor cycling workout 1-5-2011

Here’s a good cycling workout to kick-start the new year. This workout is all about hill simulation, or at least the best you can simulate on a bike that doesn’t go anywhere.

Basically the rule of thumb for this workout is that for every gear you add, your RPM’s should decrease by 5. The first set is an extension of the warm up with a rolling hill simulation. The 2nd and 3rd sets are 2 minute intervals with a built-in :30 sec rest. The final set is a 6 min hill set that will really help to build some strength in your legs. Good luck on this one!
